Q: I am a 27 year old Sunni Muslim girl. I got married to my uncles son three years ago but I was not happy with the marriage so I separated from my husband after a year. Then after almost ten months, my husband gave me one talaaq and I did not go back to him.Hence our marriage was annulled. After 3 months we got married with a new marriage contract but then I did not go back to him and I applied for khula after 9 months. Since we have a separate community which deals with divorce, my husband pronounced talaaq twice and gave me khula. Now I want to go back to my husband with a new marriage. Can I marry him again ? And what are the conditions ? Is the talaaq word pronounced in khula counted? Please advise me as soon as possible.
A: Since your husband had given you three talaaqs, it is not permissible for you both to remarry.
And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
