Should We Bury Our Hair and Nails After Removal?

Answered as per Shafi'i Fiqh by Seekersguidance.org

Answered by Shaykh Jamir Meah

Question: Assalamu alaykum

Should we bury our hair and nails after removal?

Answer: Allah Most High tells us in the Qur’an, ‘Verily we have honoured the Children of Adam.’ [17.70].

It is because of this honour of the human being that scholars have stated that it is recommended to bury hair and nails when removed, as well as any other body parts separated from a human body.
