Answered by Shaykh Amjad Rasheed

You mention that it is permissible to pray eight rak’ahs after dhuhr, thereby intending the sunnahs before and after it. If one does this, when should one recite the tashahhud and when should one not recite it?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

It is permissible to recite the tashahhud after every two rak‘ahs. It is also permissible to recite one tashahhud during the last rak‘ah. It is not permissible to recite the tashahhud after every rak‘ah or during the [m: first, ] third, fifth, or seventh rak‘ah.
