Is it permissible for a man to marry one of his wife’s friends and bring her to live with them in the same house, if his first wife requested that of him?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Of the rights of the wife upon her husband is that the other wife does not live with her, but if she accepted that, then it is permissible, because it is was her right and she assented its omission.

الجواب: من حق الزوجة على زوجها أن لا يُسكنَ معها ضرتها، فإن هي رضيت بذلك جاز؛ لأنه حقها وقد رضيت بإسقاطه
