Ajmer Sharif?

Answered according to Hanafi Fiqh by Tafseer Raheemi

What is Ajmer Sharif?

Ajmer is a city in Ajmer District in India’s Rajasthan state. It has become famous as a visitation site for Muslims as the tomb of the famous Wali-Allah, Kwaja Mu’in al-Din Chisti, is located there. Kwaja Mu’in al-Din Chisti was a wali who inspired love in the hearts of whoever met him, and this love for him endures to this day, which a sign of the acceptance of his deeds by Allah. However, one should be careful not exceed the religious boundaries in adoration. It should be remembered that Kwaja Mu’in al-Din Chisti was a staunch monotheist and would certainly disapprove of any one prostrating at his tomb.
