Question

Salaam,

In my house we have pictures of people, but they are not on display, they are in the cupboard and also i have many books in which there are many faces eg. harry potter. Is this allowed. and also what is your opinion regarding taking photos via mobile phone.

Remember me in your duas, wasalaam.

Answer

Angels of mercy do not enter into a room where there are photos. This means unnecessary photos and those photos which are put on display. So those which are necessary or those which are out of sight are exempt. Also those which are in a place of usage like the doormat are also excused.

Photos on mobiles are unnecessary and not allowed.

Allah fadhl farmaaye, Raadhi Hojaye.
