Is is permissible to get you’re hair cut so it is thinner?

Answer

Haircut should be neat and tidy.  The Shariah guidance is that they should be equally cut – if they are uneven then you will get gunah for it.  A hadith in Abu Dawood Shareef says that Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam saw a boy whose head was partly shaved.  He disliked it and said “Shave it all or leave it all.”  In thinning, parts are taken out whereas others are left, therefore this will not be allowed.
