People are gossiping, backbiting and looking down on me. Must I fight for my right or leave it to Allah. Must I go to any functions where these people (including relatives) are? One of them even scolded me in a mosque. Please help.
If somebody doesn’t treat us well it does not mean that we should also treat them the same way. The noble characteristic is that when they treat us bad we should treat them well. If because of people’s bad character your health is being affected then it is permissible to avoid their company.
You should not fight with them nor should you keep friends with them. If they cross your path you should just great them but at the same time keep your distance from them.
