Many places the imam have a short beard not the whole one fist and he is leading the prayer, what we do about it pray behind him or make our own jamat or make own salat? Also in ramadan many center have a hafiz to lead the tarawhee and the hafiz cut his beard less then one whole fist, we make tarawhee behind this imam just listen the quran or make tarawhee at home with last 10 suran of the quran ? Please guide us in the light of quran and sunnha.
The jurist have suggested that a person like this should read from “alama tara, sura” and that he should pray at home. A person should not pray behind someone like this man nor should anyone listen to the Quran behind him. If this man is a permanent imam then one should be careful praying behind him, but if accidentally happens then there is nothing wrong with that.
