Fatwa : About Quran – Hangings title LAUHE-QURAN…

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org
There are wall hangings titled “Lauhe-Qur’an” with the following written: Alif Lam Meem HaMeem Aiin Seen Khaaf Noon Alif Laam Meem Swaadh HaMeem YaSeen Ka Ha Ya Aiin Swaadh Khaaf Ameen. “If one looks at this, all hardships will be gone. His ventures will be successful, He will get ‘Rizq’ in abundance and from unimaginable sources.” Is this true?
These are called “horoofe muqata’ate” and they are a part of quran and there are many secrets in these letters, which are known only to Allah and his prophet peace be upon him. Hence, as being part of the quran, it’s worthy of blessing to just look at them. Now people have begun to experience that beside just blessings these letters can do things as mentioned in the question then these findings are related to experiments. There is no clear mentioning in the sunnah or quran that doing such and such would yield such and such results. So, we would say that these things are experimental. The sacred law doesn’t contradict such experiments therefore scholars allow it. Hence, a person should be optimistic and can see these letters to seek blessings from them and there is nothing wrong with that.
