The use of money acquired from social security for parents? Do we have to pay zakat on it?
Whoever the wealth belongs to would have the right to dispense it as the owner pleases. If that amount reaches the “nisab” (an amount that if someone possesses would have to pay zakat) then zakat is also wajib.
