Answer:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykumwa-rahmatullāhiwa-barakātuh.
It is permissible to take out a mobile phone or a laptop on contract in the UK on condition all the rates, charges and allowances are clearly stated and there is no ambiguity in the contract. One must also ensure that he pays on time and that he does not allow interest to accrue on payments by failing to pay on the due date.
