Assalamualikum Mufti sahib,my question is about mortgage.we have four kids we used to live in town house for 3 years land lord increased rent every year which gone out of our budget we looked for other rent houses but problem was same we r not allowed to have 2 bedroom apartment because of big family and rent was out of our range too. so we decided to buy house we applied for Islamic loan but unfortunately they didn’t approved us for loan then we applied for regular American bank we got approved for 140,000.we bought 3 bedroom house.we r living in ILLINOIS.sometimes it makes us uncomfortable. I don’t know we did right or wrong.kindly guid us.

Taking and giving interest both are Haramin Islam. You took loan from the Bank on interest which is not correct. This action is not correct. With repentance and seeking forgiveness, have yourself get rid of this dealing in interest.
قال تعٰالی: احل اللہ البیع و حرم الربوٰا
(القراٰن، سورہ البقرہ آیت 275)
Nabi S.A.W. has issued curse on the person taking or giving interest.
عن عبد الرحمن بن عبداللہ بن مسعود عن ابیہ قال لعن رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ و سلم اٰکل الربوٰا و مُؤکلہ و شاھدہ و کاتبہ۔
(ابو داؤد باب فی اکل الربٰوا و مُؤکلہ حدیث 3333 بذل المجہودشرح ابو داؤد )
