Is it wajib to perform Jumu’ah prayer before the Zuhr time starts?
I am very worried because in my Islamic center they are performing Jumu’ah prayer before the Zuhr starts. They finish praying Jumu’ah prayer before the Zuhr starts.
Could you please tell me if that’s ok in Islam?
الجواب وباللہ التوفیق
The time for Zuhr is the same time for Jumu’ah, it’s not permissible to pray Salat before its time. If someone is praying, neither following him is permissible, nor that Salat would be done. It is incumbent to pray Salat again after the time enters.
إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ كَانَتْ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ كِتَابًا مَوْقُوتًا(النساء:۱۰۳)
وَمِنْهَا الْوَقْتُ لِأَنَّ الْوَقْتَ كما هو سَبَبٌ لِوُجُوبِ الصَّلَاةِ فَهُوَ شَرْطٌ لِأَدَائِهَا قال اللَّهُ تَعَالَى { إنَّ الصَّلَاةَ كانت على الْمُؤْمِنِينَ كِتَابًا مَوْقُوتًا } أَيْ فَرْضًا مُؤَقَّتًا حتى لَا يَجُوزَ أَدَاءُ الْفَرْضِ قبل وَقْتِهِ(بدائع الصنائع:۱/۱۳۱)
’’ وَمِنْهَا الْخُطْبَةُ قَبْلَهَا حتى لو صَلَّوْا بِلَا خُطْبَةٍ أو خَطَبَ قبل الْوَقْتِ لم يَجُزْ كَذَا في الْكَافِي الْخُطْبَةُ تَشْتَمِلُ على فَرْضٍ وَسُنَّةٍ فَالْفَرْضُ شَيْئَانِ الْوَقْتُ وهو بَعْدَ الزَّوَالِ ‘‘ (الہندیہ:۱/۱۴۶)
