Is dry skin impure?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate
No. Dry skin as well as any other part of the human body that does not contain flowing blood or no pain is experienced when removing them.
[Tahtawi/Shurunbulali, Hashiyat Maraqi al-Falah]
With this definition all of the following are considered pure:
– cut hair
– peeled scab
– fingernail trimmings
– toenail trimmings
