Do we raise our hands during the dua in the khutbah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

Do we raise our hands during the dua in the khutbah?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

No, one doesn’t raise hands for supplication during the khutba nor raise one’s voice when saying “Ameen.” Rather, one says it quielty, to oneself. [Ibn Nujaym, al-Bahr al-Ra’iq]

And Allah alone gives success.

Faraz Rabbani
