Is the ottoman code available in English- what other codes- regarding family laws, etc are available – how old is the ottoman code – year ? I would really appreciate an answer

Walaikum assalam,

The Ottoman commercial law code is available, but it was translated by a Christian missionary 100 years ago… It is not valid to rely upon the transmission of a corrupt Muslim for religious matters, let alone a non-Muslim, for obvious reasons.
