Re: Are Women Allowed To have a Shower Standing Up?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Are women allowed to have a shower, standing up. As I have heard many people say that a women should sit down and have a bath.

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam,

It is permitted to shower standing up, and there is nothing wrong with it.

However, if one showers sitting down out of modesty, or to follow the general way the Prophet (Allah bless him & give him peace) used to shower, there is reward in it, as the scholars have mentioned.

Walaikum assalam,
Faraz Rabbani.
