Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Abu Usamah

I know that the ijma is for 20 raka’ahs in the jama’at but what if one offers less than this amount whilst praying on ones own. What are the minimum number of raka’ah that are considered mu’akadah?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Al-Salam alaykum

Twenty rak`ahs of tarawih are sunnah mu’akkadah whether praying in congregation or individually.
