I just wanted to know whether the interest money we recieve from our banks, if we could use this money to pay off, Parking Tickets, Congestion Charges, To Buy “Pay And Display Tickets” while shopping.. Please explain in as much detail as you can, as loads of Muslims have approched me regarding this subject..I look forward to hearing from you soon..Allah bless all you Aulama’s…sallams

The only place one must spend the money accumulated through means of interest are the poor people who are known as ‘Fuqaraa’ and ‘Masaakeen’. Some of the Scholars are of the opinion that this money can be used for building toilets etc. for Public use. However, the first opinion, which is clearly stated above, that the only place to spend this sort of money is the ‘ poor people’. It must also be kept in mind, the person spending this sort of money on the poor people should not hope for any reward whilst spending this money on the poor for no reward is given for this type of action.
From the above-mentioned, it is made clear that to spend interest money on the things mentioned in the question is not permissible.
