Al-jawab billahi at-taufeeq (the answer with Allah’s guidance)

It will be Mustahab to wear and take off the socks sitting down.

The good manner of putting on socks is that the right sock should be put on first, but before putting it on, it should first be shaken off, because Tabrani, under the heading ‘miracles’, has recorded a Hadith from Ibn Abbas regarding this. Once the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) was in a jungle. He put on one sock while he was still thinking of putting on the other, a crow snatched it away in a swoop. Having flown high, it threw it down. When the sock touched the ground, a snake emerged from it. The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) thanked Allah Ta’ala and made a rule that socks must be shaken off before wearing. (Shama’il e Tirmidhi)

Also, this ruling will also apply when you dress or wear your shoes etc.

And Only Allah Ta’ala Knows Best.
