Reciting extra duas in jalsa and qaumah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Should an imam read the extra duas in jalsa and qaumah when performing salaah in jamaat? Or are these not to be read while performing jamaat?

Bismillaah

A: The Hadith commands that the Imaam should not lengthen the Salaah as this will be burdensome upon the congregation. Hence the Imaam should not recite these duas in fardh Salaah. However these duas may be recited in the sunnats and nawaafil.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
