Q: Is it permissible to drink from a glass which has been used by ones teacher with the intention of tabarruk? How do we determine which things are permissible to use for tabarruk?
A:
Yes.
Explain which things you wish to use.
And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Q: You asked me to explain which other things I wish to use so I’ll provide some examples of other things which people may do for tabarruk purposes: (1) Drawing a picture of the na’lein sharif and hanging it on the wall (2) Keeping some rocks from Mt. Uhud at home (3) Wearing one’s ustadh’s old
clothes (4) Clinging onto the maqame-Ibrahim (5) Clinging onto the graves of the Sahaba (6) Attaching verses of the Quran to the wall (7) etc. etc. Are
all of these things permissible to do for tabarruk? If not, my question is how do we determine what is permissible and what is not permissible to do for tabarruk purposes? The question becomes especially relevant when doing hajj or umra when we come across so many traces of the Prophet (salla Allahu aleihi wa sallam) and the Sahaba and Islamic artefacts.
A: These types of tabarruk are permissible.
And Allah Ta`ala knows best
