Reflecting over one’s own faults

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I have trouble getting over my wifes affair. I am trying so hard to get past it and I can’t seem to forget. Im still with her but its so hard on me. I just can’t believe she has done this. I know I must forgive and I have forgiven but I just can’t move forward. What must I do?

Bismillaah

A: Think about the wrongs and mistakes that you have committed and how Allah Ta`ala has covered your faults and forgiven you.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
