Discharging one’s zakaat after one’s zakaat date

Q: If my zakaat was due last week and I did not discharge it. When discharging it now, will my net worth be considered as it was last week or what my net worth is today?

Bismillaah

A: You will calculate your zakaatable assets on your zakaat date. If your zakaat date was last week, then whatever was your total zakaatable assets on that date, you have to discharge your zakaat accordingly.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
