Giving one’s own opinion about Islam and matters of deen

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: There are two websites that are run by a certain individual. He says citing evidence that shariah has no death punishment for insulting the Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) and for apostasy except when there is serious danger from the person. Please clarify. Shall I entertain his site which presents things systematically?

A: As Qiyaamat is approaching then according to the prediction of the Hadeeth, ignorance will become rife. Hence, you will find any person giving his own opinion about Islam and in matters of deen. Therefore, assign the ignorant to his ignorance and don’t pay any attention to him.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
