Using soap when making ghusal

Q: I think in the time of the prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) there were no soap so now after a wet dream should we need soap to wash clothes and body?

A: In the time of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) there were washing agents that were used. Hence, it is permissible in today’s times to use soaps.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
