Wudhu breaking during Salaah

Answered according to Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Once I was Imam of Esha prayer, my wudhu broke after the second rakat. I did not know what to do, so I completed the namaz. Now what do I do? There were 11 people behind me.

A: The namaaz will have to be repeated. You should inform all those who performed Salaah behind you to repeat their Salaah.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Q: I’m unable to inform those people because I don’t remember who were behind me. It’s almost two years back. Please guide me.

A: Try to the best of your ability to remember who followed you in the Salaah and inform them.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
