Q: Please can you tell me all the things that need to be done and duahs etc to be read on giving birth?
A: A woman at all times should be punctual in fulfilling her Deeni obligations and responsibilities and refrain from all types of sin. Now that she is soon to become a mother and be burdened with additional responsibilities, she should become more conscious of fulfilling her obligations. It is advised that she recites Surah Yaseen Shareef and Durood Shareef in abundance and constantly make dua to Allah Ta’ala to grant her pious offspring. When the child is born, she should make the following dua for the child:
اللهم وَإِنِّي أُعِيذُهُ بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهُ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
