Q: Some Syeds (descendants of the Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) tell me that they will not go to hell in any way, if they are sinful, they tell me that they will go to zamhareer (a cold place for punishment). What is its authenticity with respect to Quran and Hadith?
A: We are commanded in the Hadith to be more concerned about our actions and deeds than the actions of others. Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) has said “The beauty and perfection of one’s Islam is that one abstains from all things that do not concern him”. The laws of Islam are general. All the servants of Allah Ta’ala will be judged equally on the day of Qiyaamah. How can any person claim immunity whereas Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam) said to his beloved daughter Hadhrat Faatima (Radhiallahu Anha) while cautioning her to obey Allah Ta’ala “O Faatima (Radhiallahu Anha) save yourself from the fire of Jahannum.”
And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
عن أبي هريرة قال : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم من حسن إسلام المرء تركه مالا يعنيه رواه الترمذي
وعن أبي هريرة قال : لما نزلت ( وأنذر عشيرتك الأقربين ) دعا النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قريشا فاجتمعوا فعم وخص فقال : ” يا بني كعب بن لؤي أنقذوا أنفسكم من النار يا بني مرة بن كعب أنقذوا أنفسكم من النار . يا بني عبد شمس أنقذوا أنفسكم من النار يا بني عبد مناف أنقذوا أنفسكم من النار . با بني هاشم أنقذوا أنفسكم من النار . يا بني عبد المطلب أنقذوا أنفسكم من النار . يا فاطمة أنقذي نفسك من النار فإني لا أملك لكم من الله شيئا غير أن لكم رحما سأبلها ببلالها ” . رواه مسلم (مشكوة المصابيح رقم 5373)
