Q: Is it permissible to carry one’s shoes or sandals in a shoulder bag whilst making Tawaaf?  From what material should the shoulder bag be made of?

Carrying one’s Shoes or Sandals in a shoulder bag whilst making Tawaaf

A: 

  1. It is permissible.

  2. Since the shoulder bag is not sewn clothing which one is prohibited from wearing in the state of ihraam, it will be permissible for one to use the shoulder bag irrespective of whatever material it is made of.

( وشد هميان ) بكسر الهاء ( في وسطه ومنطقة وسيف وسلاح وتختم ) زيلعي لعدم التغطية واللبس. (الدر المختار 2/490)
