Mistakenly calling out azaan in both ears of the newborn child

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: When a baby is born then a male Muslim calls out the complete azaan in the right ear of the baby the iqamah in the left ear of the baby.

If a person calls out the azaan in both the ears of the baby instead of azaan in the right ear and iqamah in the left ear, then what does our Islam say about this mistake?

Bismillaah

A: This is not a major offence. If they wish they could give the iqaamah in the other ear.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
