Making qurbaani on behalf of the deceased

Q: Can qurbaani be made for both the living and the deceased in sacrificing one animal, i.e. a cow or a buffalo?

Bismillaah

A: Yes, it is permissible for one to carry out the qurbaani of a cow or bull and then convey the reward of some of the shares to the deceased.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
