Q: We got a message that we were chosen as the winners of Canada Coca-Cola’s new year lottery. They were promised to give us some dollars. Is it halal for us?
A: Lottery is haraam as it enters under the definition of gambling. Hence, the money acquired through the lottery will be haraam.
