Q: I am working in a company in night shifts and I am planning to switch to another company due to salary concerns. To get a higher salary I have edited the payslip of my company’s current salary because most of our collegues and I feel that the companies are exploiting us by paying us a less salary and they are getting higher profits. I feel like it is cheating because I am editing my current salary from 17000 and faking it to 21000. I have already been selected and if I join that company, is my income Halal or Haram?
A: Your income will be halaal. However, you should make tawbah for lying to the company.
