Building a bank on a land that was donated for sawaab-e-jaariyah

Q: In my town, an Islamic organisation has built a bank on a land that had been donated as sawaab jariyah. Is this correct?

Bismillaah

A: If it was for thawaab jaariyah then the word thawaab jaariyah has to be defined, whether the deceased intended that a musjid or madrasah be built there or what did he intend.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
