Taking hotel food to the room

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If an Umrah or Haj package includes breakfast, is it permissible for a person to eat breakfast, thereafter take some food with him to the room for the next meal or snack? Some dining rooms have a notice asking guests not to take food to their rooms.

Bismillaah

A: He should not take food to the room unless the authorities allow him.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
