Tasting food in one’s mouth while performing salaah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If one ate food right before praying, and can still taste the food in their mouth even though they cannot feel any food particles, just the taste, can they swallow it during prayer?

Bismillaah

A: If there are absolutely no particles then this will not affect the salaah. However, just to clear the doubt gargle your mouth properly before getting into salaah.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
