When should the waleemah take place?

Q: I want to ask you if physical relationship does not take place on the wedding night, will the walima food be haraam? 

Bismillaah

A: No, the food will not be haraam. However, the sunnah is that the waleema take place after the nikaah is consummated.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
