A promise that is not binding

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I have a made a wrong promise in angar. Me and my husband had a fight and I was angry and I promised myself that I will not go out with him ever and if I go I will see my child dead. It was a very big mistake I did. I want to know what should be done about this.

Bismillaah

A: The promise is not binding.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
