Q: If a person standing in the first saff commenced the Salaah with the Imaam. During the Salaah, his wudhu broke and therefore he left to perform wudhu and make bina of his Salaah. After returning, if he stood in the back saff, will he receive the reward of the first saff?
A: The Fuqaha have written that the laahiq (the one who goes to make wudhu and thereafter makes bina of his Salaah) will be in the hukm of a person who remained behind the Imaam all the time. Therefore, Insha-Allah, there is hope of him receiving the reward of the first saff.
And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
اللاحق وهو الذي أدرك أولها وفاته الباقي لنوم أو حدث أو بقي قائما للزحام أو الطائفة الأولى في صلاة الخوف كأنه خلف الإمام لا يقرأ ولا يسجد للسهو كذا في الوجيز للكردري ولو سجد الإمام للسهو لا يتابعه اللاحق قبل قضاء ما عليه بخلاف المسبوق كذا في الخلاصة اللاحق إذا عاد بعد الوضوء ينبغي له أن يشتغل أولا بقضاء ما سبقه الإمام بغير قراءة يقوم مقدار قيام الإمام وركوعه وسجوده ولو زاد أو نقص فلا يضره هكذا في شرح الطحاوي وإذا كبر مع الإمام ثم نام حتى صلى الإمام ركعة ثم انتبه فإنه يصلي الركعة الأولى وإن كان الإمام يصلي الركعة الثانية هكذا في الذخيرة ولو لم يشتغل بقضاء ما سبقه الإمام ولكن يتابع الإمام أولا ثم قضى ما سبقه الإمام بعد تسليم الإمام جازت صلاته عندنا هكذا في شرح الطحاوي (هندية 1/92)
