Is Giving Sadqa Intention Marriage Food Allowed Without Informing the Recipients?

Q: If anybody with sadqa intention give marriage food is it allowed or not? People who are eating this food do not know it is sadqa.

Bismillaah

A: At the nikaah you make the niyyat of waleemah, not sadaqah. Sadaqah is meant for the poor.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
