Making wudhu with lipstick on

Q: I read previously that it is permissible to make wudhu with lipstick on. Please confirm.

Bismillaah

A: If the lipstick is porous (i.e. water penetrates through it and reaches the skin of the lips) and there is nothing impure contained in it, then the wudhu will be valid.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
