Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: My children are young: 5 years, 3 years and 1 year. Are we allowd to let them play wit dolls/teddy bears/animated story books/toy animals, etc? Can they watch “islamic themed” cartoon dvd’s? (there is no tv in our home).

Bismillaah

A: Avoid doing this.

Animated objects in any form are impermissible.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
