Calling out the Azaan in the Musjid

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Is calling out the Azaan inside the masjid still makrooh-e-tanzihi when there is a loudspeaker being used?

Bismillaah

A: The purpose of the Azaan is to call those who are out of the Musjid for Salaah. Hence the Azaan should not be called out in the Musjid, rather it should be called out, outside the Musjid (e.g. the sehn). If the Azaan is called out in the Musjid, it will be makrooh regardless of whether the Azaan was called out on the loudspeaker or not.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
