Dispute regarding talaaq

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I never said the word talaaq or meant it, but my wife says she heard me say talaaq three times or more. I did say Tal’h like the name twice when we were in a car (but never meant it). I never intended to talaq my wife or anything similar. Please help

Bismillaah

A: If she is sure that you said the word talaaq thrice then it is not permissible for her to have any relationship with you. You should terminate the nikaah thereafter.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
