Is it Ja’iz to follow Imam Rabbani?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Jamia Binoria

In the name of Allah, Is it Ja’iz to follow Imam Rabbani? Is it allowed to practice upon the edited book (Makthoobat Shareef)? What should be the Aqeeda of Ahl e Thasawwuf?
Awaiting your reply,
Your humble servant.

الجواب حامدا و مصلیا

Since Imam e Rabbani was Mujaddid and Imam of Ahl e Sunnath wal Jama’ath of his era; and his interior, exterior, and esteemed applications were based on Qur’an and Sunnath; and whatever was against to the basic rulings of these two were not accepted in his presence; and along with this he was a follower of Hadhrath Imam e A’zam Rahimahullah, it is permissible to follow him with regard to matters pertaining to Shari’a and to read his book Makthoobath e Shareef.
As for the Aqida of Ahl e Thasawwuf, it should be the same as of the majority of the Ahl e Sunnath wal Jama’ath. Therefore wherever their opinions contradict with the opinion of the majority, it is incumbent to refrain from acting upon them.

Allah knows best.
