Imam Bayhaqi (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration as the statement of the famous Imam and Saint, Ibrahim ibn Adham (rahimahullah).
(Shu’abul Iman, Hadith: 6827)
Translation
Certainly sins cause weakness in a person’s strength and hardness of the heart. Good deeds create bodily strength and light in the heart.
And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
