Is there a Hadith which says ‘Allah Ta’ala increases a person’s respect and honour if he forgives others?
Answer:
Yes. Imam Muslim (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu). The part in question is as follows:
‘None forgives [others] except that Allah increases his honour…’
(Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 2588)
