Question: can one perform the aqiqah / quabani �with the same animal �,at �the same time ,.
Answer: Assalaamu Alaikum,
If you are taking shares in a large animal like a bull, then you can take one share for the qurbani and a separate one for the aqeeqah. This is permissible. However, if you are sacrificing a small animal like a sheep or goat, it will not be permissible to do the qurbani and aqeeqah on the same small animal. Only one intention will be allowed in this case.
